Taking off from Whitehorse, we started a long drive on a no shoulder road Alberta. We got about 30 miles and we smell smoke, not the kind in the forest... we look back and the rig tires on the passenger side are smoking bad! Turns out it was for about a mile, which turns out that it was good because we didn't start on fire! There just was enough room to pull off the road, turns out we broke a spring on the rig, and both NEW tires were toast! No cell coverage at all we went back to town and called AAA, got in touch with a towing service...turns out they could not get there until tomorrow. Also found out later that no tow we are too big. So set up our Triangles and camped out for the night until the repair guy came in the morning to change the spring, but not the tires...fun fun!
