Another National Park off the list! Wow it's called Mammoth because it is. This is not a living cave so none of the usual sites. This cave is part of the worlds longest cave. Over 400 miles of twist and turns of caves, and rivers underneath. The high ceilings are solid and unbelievable tall and grand. The caves were used by natives, and many more but the coolest thing was that in the 1812 when Great Brittan was trying to get us. The caves were mined for it's Salt Peter, they could then make into gun powder. In-slaved people mined so much that they made over 23,000,000 cannon balls. France was trying to help but the British blocked them off, So US did stand there grounds. Also, The National Anthem was born from what they saw... Rockets Red Glair, Bell Bombs Bursting in Air. The Flag was still up at a 45 degree angle. It stood because of all the dead bodies. If the flag started to fall, someone would run out and prop it up in the bodies of the fallen.
